When you begin therapy, we will meet first for an Intake Appointment. During the intake, we'll talk about your goals and what you'd like to work on together. If you're not sure what your goals are, that's ok too! You can expect the intake to be about 55-60 minutes and I'll probably be asking you A LOT of questions! You are welcome to ask me to slow down or take a break or ask any questions you have about me or my practice. If you decide that I'm a good fit for you, we'll move forward at a weekly or biweekly frequency.
I contract with Real Life Counseling for admin support, so you may hear from them in the beginning while you are getting your client portal account set up.
When you sign up for therapy, you are called a "client." This is to reflect the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship.
Specializations, Modalities, and Other Fun Stuff (...did someone say MEMES???)
I specialize in working with Autism and other neurodivergence in adolescents and adults. I also work with family members of these individuals around communication strategies and family mental health. My other areas of specialization are in religious trauma, existential dread, big life changes, anxiety, and depression (treating them, not causing them).
I was trained as a social worker. I believe that mental health conditions are directly tied to the systems we live in. I mean, have you seen the inflation lately? How could we not be anxious?
I incorporate modalities that affirm your experiences while redirecting you towards thoughts and behaviors that better serve you. I'm a big fan of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I'm currently learning more about Psychodynamics and Parts Work.
I use some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but not a whole lot. It can feel very similar to gaslighting for people who have experienced extensive trauma.
And yes, you heard correctly. Memes! I love to integrate humor and relatability into sessions. If you are chronically online like I am, then you might enjoy a session where I curate five memes for you and ask how attacked they make you feel on a scale of one to ten.
My private pay rate is $150 for a 55-minute individual psychotherapy session. I have a working relationship with Real Life Counseling to accept the following insurances as an in-network provider:
Aetna
Cigna
First Choice Health
Kaiser Foundation of the NW
Medicaid (Molina/CHPW)
Moda
Premera Blue Cross
Providence
Regence/BCBS
I have limited openings for Medicaid clients. As of 11/22/2025, my caseload is [OPEN] to new Medicaid clients, and [OPEN} to all other clients.
Before your Intake Appointment, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate detailing your expected costs according to your plan's cost-sharing system (if using insurance).
